When I first heard the song that was in the commercial I thought it was an ad from the UK, since this type of indie music is popular there, although it probably still make sense since Virgin is a UK company. The song is

I wonder how they did this Virgin Mobile commercial, did they film the whole thing in video and then use a stop-motion effect on it later, or did they just take a lot of photos and put them together into a video? From the looks of it though the color and tone of the shots looks more like they were photographed.
