No oscar nomination for Muammar al-Gaddafi?

Talking about performing under pressure, with his country in turmoil and millions of people calling for his head, the Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi still managed to find enough time to perform his own rendition of singing in the rain, complete with an umbrella and all.

Now that’s Oscar material, even though it wasn’t actually raining and the singing was a little off key. On a more serious note though, he really should get an award….a lifetime achievement award from the Grammys for pop culture influence or something. While the rappers of today are trying their hardest to come up with outrages outfits they are simply copying what Gaddafi has been doing for the last three decades with his psychedelic wardrobes. They might sing and dance about how gangster they are shooting everyone looking at them wrong, but this guy actually goes out and does it…on a mass scale. Glocks and AKs? Try a mobile missile launch platform and chemical warheads. Showing off with ladies in their entourage? This guy has virgin girls as bodyguards. On top of all this very few can match him for longevity. All in all it is not too far fetch to say that he is a rapper’s idol, living the life rappers can only sing about.
