Sounds just like the Who's 1st album. Thought it was the Who.
Turns out, The Creation was a London group around the same time as the Who. The band was produced and recorded by Shel Talmy, who also produced The Who's 1st album. Probably The Creation was recorded in the same studio.
The Creation had a minor hit in Europe with a song called "Painter Man". The follow-ups "clicked" only in countries like Germany, Sweden, Holland...
